Recipients receive document confirming receipt of land

The document certifying receipt of land under the former administration’s Binveriya housing scheme has been released to recipients.

Housing Ministry, in a post on X on Tuesday, said the document, signed by Housing Minister Dr. Ali Haidar, confirming the recipient of land can now be accessed by recipients via the Ministry’s Hiyaavahi portal.

18,955 individuals are eligible for land under the former administration’s ‘Binveriya’ scheme. 9,003 land plots will be issued to recipients from Hulhumale’, Gulhifalhu and Giraavarufalhu.

The current administration recently announced their decision to shift 1,347 plots planned for issuance from Giraavarufalhu to Gulhifalhu following changes to the land use plan. They include 193 plots measuring 1,250 square feet, 663 plots measuring 1,650 square feet and 487 plots measuring 2,050 square feet.
