President Muizzu sends Chinese new year greetings, wishes for prosperity

Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has sent Chinese new year greetings to Chinese nationals, wishing them prosperity and happiness in the new year ahead.

He sent the greetings via a video message through Chinese media outlet Xinhua. He described the occasion as a notion of strength, wisdom and prosperity.

“I hope this jubilian festival brings happiness and success to Chinese people across the world including those in the Maldives. The people of Maldives join me in wishing you all a very happy new year,” he said.

Chinese new year, or the Luna new year, is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture.
