Fathimath Shafeeg appointed MMPRC’s MD

Fathimath Shafeeg has been appointed the managing director of the Maldives Marking and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

MMPRC, announcing the new appointment on Monday, welcomed their new managing director.

Fathimath Shafeeg has previously served as an Admin and Procurement Manager and Logistics Manager at Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).

In Jalboot Maldives, she served as an HR and Admin Manager, and in Alia Investment she served as an HR Assistant. She has also worked at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Fathimath Shafeeg has a master’s in Business Administration from the University of the West of England.

MMPRC’s mandate is the promotion of the Maldives as a tourist destination.

Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has previously revealed President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s decision to completely rebrand the corporation.

Although a ‘Visitor Economic Council’ has been incepted to boost tourism – the government said it is MMPRC that continues to undertake the responsibilities of promoting the Maldives.
