Ooredoo Group’s senior management meets President Muizzu

Ooredoo Group’s senior management has met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu as part of the group’s efforts to to enrich the lives of the communities and to accelerate digital transformation in all operating markets.

The delegation that met with President Muizzu was led by Deputy Group CEO Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Thani and Ooredoo Maldives’ CEO, MD Khalid Al-Hamadi.

The meeting took place at the President’s Office on Wednesday, where the delegation engaged in discussions with the President and the new administration to further strengthen the longstanding partnership between Ooredoo and the Maldives, focusing on collaborative initiatives to drive the nation's digital transformation.

Discussions also centered around Ooredoo's ongoing commitments in the Maldives and the possible collaborations and future investments to further drive the digital landscape of the nation.

Commenting on the meeting, Al Thani thanked President Muiizu and officials of the new administration for the invaluable time and constructive discussions on establishing a dynamic collaboration to drive Maldives’ digital transformation.

“We reaffirm our commitment to the Maldives and its people. Ooredoo will continue to leverage our international partnerships and diverse technological expertise to upgrade their digital experiences and contribute to the progress of this vibrant nation,” he added.

Ooredoo Maldives, over the past 18 years, has played a crucial role in the digital transformation of the Maldives, by introducing new technologies to the market and bringing in new innovations that supported the growing digital lifestyle of the people.
