Maldivian wins USD 1 million in Dubai Duty Free promo

A Maldivian man has won USD 1 million from a draw held for the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire.

Gulf News reports that Ahmed Nasir won USD 1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 442 with ticket number 1174, which he purchased online on November 16.

The draw was held on Wednesday.

According to Gulf News, Nasir, who is the first Maldivian to have won USD 1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999, is currently uncontactable.

Dubai is a popular holiday destination among Maldivians.
