Vice President travels to China to attend a forum

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has traveled to China on an official visit.

VP Latheef departed for China on Monday night to attend the ‘China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation’.

Organized by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), the ‘China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation' is scheduled to be held on Thursday and Friday, at Kunming, Yunnan Province in China.

During his visit, VP Latheef will address the forum and hold meetings with Chinese officials. He is accompanied by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed.

VP Latheef will be returning to the Maldives Maldives after attending the high-level event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR75) to be held in Geneva from December 11^th to December 12^th.
