Out of the two victims critically injured in the accident in Hulhumale’ last night – ADK Hospital states one is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while the other is being treated at the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
A police spokesperson told Sun on Monday night that the accident took place around 07:42 pm on Monday, when a speeding car veered out of control and crashed into three motorbikes.
Three people on two of the motorbikes sustained injuries in the accident, and were taken to the Hulhumale’ Hospital.
The police said that the condition of two of them – one man and one woman – is serious.
Both of them were shifted to ADK Hospital for further treatment.
The hospital, without providing any further details, said one of them was being treated in the ICU while the other was being treated.
The third victim was discharged after treatment at Hulhumale’ Hospital.
An eyewitness confirmed the police statement, detailing the accident had been a result of the speeding car veering out of control and crashing into multiple motorbikes.
