Police have opened a branch of its clinic, Noosandha, at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in Addu.
It’s the first Noosandha clinic to open outside Male’.
The first clinic for police officers and their families was opened in 2015, in celebration of the law enforcement agency’s 82nd anniversary.
The branch in Addu was opened by the Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed on Wednesday.
While the clinic currently treats only police officers, the families of police officers, and suspects in police custody, the police plan to open the clinic’s services to the public in the future.
