TTH opens applications for nursing scholarship program

Tree Top Hospital (TTH) has opened applications for the TTH Nursing Scholarship Program – launched back in 2022 as part of the hospital’s commitment to developing local talent.

Highlighting the key role nurses play in the provision of healthcare services, TTH said that it has been undertaking continuous recruitment of field specialist nurses, from registered nurses to midwives, to support the various respective disciplines offered in the hospital, since its inception.

We strive to empower local nurses through the support of further education and training, said the hospital.

“Considering the demand for Nursing and their valuable efforts toward patient care, Tree Top Hospital is pleased to again introduce scholarship programs for students pursuing Diploma and Undergraduate Degrees in Nursing at Villa College (VC),” said the hospital.

“Tree Top Hospital is optimistic that this scholarship program will open opportunities for existing and new nursing students who are pursuing further education at Villa College.”

Sponsorship details:

• BSc (Hons) Nursing (International) Top-up, September 2023 Intake (2 slots)
• Diploma in Nursing (3 years), September 2023 Intake (5 slots)

Eligibility

Placement in the respective course:

a.  The applicant should be a Maldivian Citizen.

b.  The applicant must secure admission in the approved Nursing program at VC as per the admission policy of the institution and be enrolled in the respective program.

i.    BSc Nursing (2 years)

ii.   Diploma in Nursing (3 years)

c.   Applicant could be a new or continuing student.

d.   Applicant should not be availing of any other educational scholarship from any other institution.

TTH has asked interested candidates or candidates who wish to check their eligibility, to email the following documents to [email protected] by 05:00 pm on September 9.

a.    Attested copies of:

i.     Academic certificate and transcripts

ii.    NIC copy

b.  Two passport size photographs

c.  Application form filled and signed by applicant

d.  Offer letter from the college

e.  For continuing students – unofficial transcript of completed semesters.

f.   Recent police report
