One of the pioneers of ‘The Democrats’, West Henveiru MP Hassan Latheef has threatened to withdraw from working alongside Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in upcoming presidential elections, if the latter was to continue preaching ‘India Out’.

“By will of God, we will not let any such activity take place amid the works carried out by both parties collaboratively. If any political party were to work with ‘The Democrats’, they cannot use slogans such as ‘India Out’,” he said.
While ‘The Democrats’ have cleared their stand on PPM’s ‘India Out’ movement – both parties held political discussions on Sunday.
