Woman in ICU after motorbike collides with cat

A woman sustained critical injuries on Monday, in a road accident in Fuvahmulah City.

The accident took place in the Gen Miskiy Magu, in the Dhadimagu district of the city, on Monday night.

The accident took place when a 36-year-old woman crashed her motorbike into a cat that suddenly crossed the road.

The woman sustained critical head injuries in the accident, and is being treated at the ICU of the Fuvahmulah Hospital.

The hospital reports the woman’s condition has stabilized.

She is set to be transferred to Male’ City for further treatment.

The woman was with her 12-year-old son when the accident took place. He sustained only minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the cat involved in the accident died at the scene.
