Two injured in accident outside Thaaseer Café

A road accident took place outside the Thaaseer Café in Male’ City on Sunday, leaving two people injured.

A police spokesperson said the accident involved two motorbikes which collided outside the café around 01:58 pm.

The accident resulted in injuries to two people; a 25-year-old and an 18-year-old.

The 25-year-old is being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) while the 18-year-old is being treated at the Tree Top Hospital.

The accident is being investigated by the police.

The greater Male’ area has seen a rise in road accident in recent weeks, some of which have been fatal.
