President scheduled for London trip to attend King Charles III’s coronation

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to travel to London to attend the coronation of the British King Charles III.

President’s Office spokesperson Miuvaan Mohamed said the president will depart for London on Wednesday night.

According to the President’s Office, President Solih will also attend an event for leaders of the Commonwealth and a reception for foreign dignitaries during his visit.

King Charles III, who came to power with the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 in September 2022, will be crowned the king on Saturday at Westminster Abbey.
