Youth stabbed inside Maafannu shop

A youth has been stabbed inside a shop located near BG Garage in Maafannu district of Male’ City on Friday night.

The stabbing took place at approximately 21:30pm tonight at a shop named ‘Krasa’.

Sun has learned that the youth entered the shop in order to hide from a group of people who were pursuing him. While he was inside the shop, two people on a motorbike barged in, and stabbed him.

Police, noting officers were attending to the scene, said the victim had been transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment. 

They identified the victim as a 30-year-old Maldivian man.
