MWSC launches lab equipment calibration services

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has launched laboratory equipment testing and calibration services.

The service was launched by Fisheries Minister Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan in a ceremony Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by MWSC’s Managing Director Hassan Shah, Board directors, and management and employees.

MWSC’s calibration service includes a wide range of laboratory equipment utilized to check various parameters such as temperature, weight, volume, pH, conductivity and turbidity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shah said the service will be crucial to ascertaining the safety of water and sewerage services provided by utility companies across Maldives.

Meanwhile, Hussain Rasheed said lab equipment calibration service was an important service.

“Whether the water we drink is safe. The calibration and maintenance of machines is what ascertains this. So, these machines need to be calibrated periodically. There’s no place in Maldives to take these machines to for calibration. Therefore, the service launched today will, In Sha Allah, assist all utility service providers,” he said.

MWSC’s lab calibration service will be provided by qualified Maldivian workers.

The service will be available from MWSC Showroom, and by calling the MWSC Showroom’s hotline.
