Police respond to report of violent altercation to find no one at scene

Maldives Police Service states that officers attended Male’ Grand area in the early hours of Wednesday morning subsequent to a report of a violent altercation to find no one at the scene. 

A Police Spokesperson told Sun on late Wednesday morning that officers responded to the alleged scene of a violent altercation in the early hours of Wednesday morning to find no one in the area and no sign of a violent altercation.

Nevertheless, the Spokesperson said that the authority is looking further into the report.

An individual was stabbed in Male’ City last month. It remains unclear whether any arrests were made in connection to the stabbing.
