SAS e Construction awarded coastal protection projects in Felidhoo and Keyodhoo

SAS e Construction has been awarded a MVR 33.7 million contract to conduct coastal protection projects in Felidhoo and Keyodhoo of V. Atoll.

The contract was signed between Planning Ministry’s Director General Fathimath Shana Farooq and SAS e Construction’s Managing Director Saudhulla Ahmed on Wednesday.

The project in Felidhoo involves construction of a rock boulder 165-meter Y-shaped groyne, construction of a 129-meter groyne, construction of a 131-meter rock boulder revetment, and putting 15,000 kilometers of sand in the beach.

Meanwhile, the project in Keyodhoo involves construction of a rock boulder 280-meter Y-shaped groyne, construction of a 120-meter rock boulder breakwater, and putting 20,000 kilometers of sand in the beach.

SAS e Construction is required to complete the project in 450 days.
