The worker injured in a fall from the seventh floor of a building under construction in Male’ City on Saturday is recovering, states ADK Hospital.
The worker fell from the building on Majeedhee Magu where the Maldives National Party (MNP) headquarters is located at approximately 04:30 pm Saturday.
He was initially taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) before getting transferred to ADK Hospital.

According to ADK Hospital’s managing director Ahmed Afaal, the worker was transferred to the hospital at approximately 10:00 pm Saturday.
“He was initially treated at the ER upon arrival at the ADK Hospital at around 10:00 pm Saturday, after which he was treated at the Operation Theater,” he said.
Afaal said the worker is now in stable condition, and is recovering in the ward.
However, he declined to disclose details of the injuries.
The worker had reportedly been working on installing an AC outdoor unit when he fell.
He was taken to the hospital by bystanders and workers from the Rasheed Construction and Carpentry (RCC) on a pickup.
