President Solih signs ex-Chinese President Jiang Zemin’s book of condolences

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Monday, has signed the book of condolences opened at the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives in memory of the former President of China, Jiang Zemin. 

In his message, President Solih offered his sincere condolences to the government and the people of China as they mourned the loss of their former leader. He also highlighted the remarkable progress and development China enjoyed under the leadership of the former president.

President Solih also commended the late Jiang Zemin’s undertakings in paving the way for a more progressive China and the achievements China made in the international arena under his leadership.

Late Jiang Zemin passed away at the age of 96 in Shanghai, China, on November 30.
