The magistrates appointed for Dh. Kudahuvadhoo and Sh. Funadhoo have been sworn into office today.
At the ceremony held today at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) the two magistrates of both courts have taken oath. The letter of appointment was presented to both of them by the president of JSC and Thulhaadhoo Parliament Member Hisaan Hussein.
Yasir Mohamed, from M. Meyvah, was appointed to the Kudahuvadhoo Court. He holds a Bachelor of Shariah and Law from Villa College and has served in the judicial system for 3 years, working as the Legal Officer of Kudahuvadhoo magistrate court since February 11, 2019.
Ibrahim Naeem from R. Maduvvari was appointed to the Funadhoo Court. He holds a Bachelor of Shariah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives with five years of experience in the judicial system, serving as a Legal Officer of the magistrate court of Thulusdhoo since August 2021.
JSC said that the appointments were finalized after the applicants were interviewed by a committee of magistrates.
