Male’ Family Court registered 29 marriages on Tuesday – as getting married on appealing dates have become engrained in the Maldivian culture.
Family Court underscored a decrease in marriages in prevailing days. As per the Court, they register up to 10 marriages per day.
November 11, was another appealing date, however, only saw the registry of 16 marriages.
The highest number of marriages was registered this year on the year’s nicest date, as deemed by many – 22.02.22 – being 85 marriages.
The second highest number of marriages was registered on 02.02.22 – being 39 marriages.
Last year, the most number of marriages was registered on 21.12.21 – which was 57. It marked the day with the highest number of marriages in the Maldives that year.
