MET predicts stormy weather for next three days

Maldives Meteorological Services (Met) on Sunday predicted stormy weather for the upcoming three days.

Speaking with Sun, Met revealed that Maldives will experience thunderstorms across the country on Sunday. Moreover, the north and the central Maldives are likely to experience heavy rainfall as well.

Moreover, it has been predicted that seas will be generally rough for southern areas. Meanwhile, central and northern regions will have very rough seas, with waves reaching a height of three to six feet.

Additionally, Met Office has issued a white alert from Shaviyani Atoll to Faafu Atoll from 10:00 to 16:00.

The alert predicted heavy rain and thunderstorms with gusts of 40 mph.

 

Met Office noted that heavy rain and thunderstorms are to be expected within the next three days, with the weather being worst in the central and northern areas.
