Dhiraagu supports MOMS NGO’s ‘Back to School’ program

Local telecom company, Dhiraagu, have partnered with the non-governmental organization, MOMS, to support their ‘Back to School 2022’ – which is a program aimed at providing school essentials for children from some of the most vulnerable families in the society.

Dhiraagu said that the partnership was initiated as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The telecom operator detailed that school essential packs including shoes, socks and uniform sets have been provided for for some of the families registered under the NGO’s care list – that have been facing difficulties in preparing their children as schools reopen for the academic new year.

Dhiraagu said that ‘Back to School 2022’ program is supported by various individual donors this year. As part of the program – MOMS NGO has distributed 132 care packages so far to families in need across the country.

MOMS NGO provides support and assistance to some of the most vulnerable families with school children, including mothers who are widowed and single mothers with no family support.

Dhiraagu, under its CSR, continues to provide program-based assistance in the area of supporting children and empowering communities.

The academic new year kicked off on Sunday morning with over 92,000 students at 217 schools across the country.
