Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC)’s Raajje Transport Link (RTL) high-speed ferry service has been launched in HA. Atoll.

The service launched with five high-speed ferries on Sunday.

MTCC states that in celebration of the launch, the service will be free in HA. Atoll until June 30. Passengers can book their seats through local councils.

Each island has been allocated 10 seats for the period.

Establishing an integrated national public ferry network, linking the islands of Maldives through a high-speed ferry network, was one of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s electoral pledges.

The RTL ferry service officially launched in HDh. Atoll on June 12.

The ferries used in the service are 50-seaters, with two seats designated for people in wheelchairs. The service is free for people with disabilities and children under the age of three years.

The ferries are air conditioned, and equipped with USD equipped with USB charging ports at every seat, a restroom, and a separate storage space for luggage. Passengers are permitted one carry-on luggage in addition to their main luggage.
