“In this regard, 141 cases were confirmed last week,” they detailed.

HPA stressed that this was the 60 percent increase compared to the week before. They also underscored an increase in sample positivity rate and the number of individuals being treated for the disease after admittance at hospitals.

The authority noted that 15 people in total were admitted to hospitals for COVID-19 during last month. Meanwhile, they stressed that 11 people have been admitted to hospitals from the start of this month till June 12.

Therewith, HPA has to isolate and test should one be exhibitting symptoms of COVID-19 –  in order to ensure that the situation does not deteriorate further. The authority also advised to wear masks if showing symptoms of the disease and at crowded places.

HPA has instructed individuals testing positive for COVID-19 to provide the authority with contact tracing information. They also urged those who have not completed the recommended doses of COVID-19 vaccination to get vaccinated at the earliest.
