Inclusive support units to be developed at three schools under India’s grant aid

The project to established inclusive education support units at three Maldivian schools under grant assistance from India has been launched.

These units will be established at Haa Alifu Atoll Education Centre in HA. Dhidhdhoo, Aboobakuru School in GDh. Thinadhoo and Ihadhdhoo School in L. Gan.

A special ceremony was held on Thursday at Haa Alifu Education Centre to launch the project.

As part of this project, India has allocated grant assistance of MVR 4.6 million for the development of the inclusive education support units.

At present, over 45 High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) are being carried out in the Maldives with over MVR 260 million grant assistance from India.

Over 20 projects under this initiative have been launched so far.
