Parliament reopened after recess on Monday, but the sitting was adjourned in a little over half an hour due to lack of work.

The recess had also coincided with the Eid al-Fitr holidays.

The sitting on Monday morning, the first sitting of the second session of the year, lasted 35 minutes.

The only item in the agenda was the questioning of Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom.

After the questioning session, Speaker, former President Mohamed Nasheed announced there was no more work on the agenda for the day, and said he was therefore adjourning the sitting.

The Parliament went into recess on April 26, after completing 49.6 percent of the work on the agenda for the first session.
