Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced it will be closed next week for the Eid al-Fitr holidays.

BML said it will be closed from April 1-7.

However, as announced by Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), BML will be open from 09:30-12:00 hours on Saturday, April 30.

As announced by Maldives Monetary Authority, BML will be open from 9:30am to 12pm on Saturday, 30th April 2022.

The bank said that cheque deposits, payroll and transfer requests received before 11:00 hours on Saturday will be processed on the same day, while requests received after the cutoff time will be processed on the next working day.

BML advises customers to complete the requests prior to the cutoff time to avoid any inconvenience.

BML said that though the bank will be closed next week, Self-service banking centers across Maldives will continue to provide deposit, withdraw and transfer services 24/7.

Cash agents in inhabited islands will also be available to provide basic banking services to customers during the holiday period.

BML encourages customers to bank using internet banking and mobile app for everyday banking during the holiday period.
