BML opens application for Community Fund 2022

Bank of Maldives (BML) on Sunday announced that the submission of proposals to apply for the Community Fund 2022 has been opened.

The Community Fund is an initiative by BML, where interested parties ranging from individuals and registered NGOs can apply to access funds up to MVR 50,000 that go towards implementing local projects.

Some of the areas covered under this include education, environment, sports and community development.

According to the bank, similar to previous years, a total of 20 projects will be funded this year as well.

Those interested can send in their proposals with supporting documents to [email protected] before 11:59 pm on 27th February 2022.

To date, the bank has provided financial assistance for 60 projects across the country from this initiative.

BML stated that this programme aims to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.
