Maldives Immigration has cut down the hours in which citizens can apply for passport services online.

Via a tweet yesterday – Maldives Immigration said that passport applications can only be submitted on weekdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm starting today, until further notice.

They attributed the application hours’ cut down to ongoing upgrades of their online portal; IMUGA.

Maldives Immigration had also apologized for any inconveniences this may cause.

The institution first began accepting passport applications via IMUGA in July of last year – stopping the acceptance of pass applications via email.

They reiterated that the institution’s aim is to provide easy access to their services through modern technology for citizens.
