Seven foreigners have been arrested for working illegally in salons and spas in Hulhumale', according to Maldives Immigration.
Immigration said in a post on X on Tuesday that a joint task force conducted an inspection of salon and spa businesses in Hulhumale'. Eight establishments were inspected and 26 expatriates were checked during the operation. Seven expatriates found working without proper authorization were detained.
Three days earlier, Immigration inspected 426 foreigners in Male' City and arrested 13 individuals for immigration violations.

The government is currently conducting special nationwide operations to address the issue of illegal immigrants and unauthorized employment.
