GDh. Thinadhoo has been removed from monitoring status after three months.

Thinadhoo was put under monitoring mechanisms on March 24 – following which the Health Protection Agency (HPA) had taken the island off of monitoring earlier today.

With monitoring mechanisms lifted from Thinadhoo, a total of 14 islands in the Maldives still remain under monitoring mechanisms.

According to Thinadhoo Council, a large number of random samples were taken from the island prior to it being taken off of monitoring mechanism – which had all come back negative

Thinadhoo has been put under monitoring mechanisms prior to this instance as well. Accordingly, the island was put under monitoring on February 7 – which was lifted on February 17.
