The two, who tested positive for COVID-19, were detained by Police on drug-related criminal activity. They tested positive after police detained them.

Police handed the two over to the health authorities after their positive result.

They escaped while HPA personnel were transporting them to a COVID-19 facility.

Neither the police nor HPA have disclosed information related to the two or requested public help in finding the two. This comes at a time when COVID-19 case numbers have reached an all-time high in the capital area.
