MNDF deployed after fire breaks out on board safari

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Teams have been deployed to a safari near K. Maafushi after a fire broke out on the boat. 

Reports of the incident were received around 13:24 today, according to MNDF. Those on the safari at the time were moved to another boat due to the incident. 

MNDF stated its teams were en route to the location and that no reports of anyone injured due to the incident have been received as of yet. 

Members of the public have also stated that there was no smoke coming from the safari now, according to MNDF.

Maafushi is a popular local tourism hub with the highest number of local guesthouses. The island is frequently visited by safaris.
