COVID-19: Maldives confirms 25 new cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 25 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 13,583. With the new cases, Maldives has a total of 502 active cases.

21 of the new cases were identified from the Greater Male' Area while four cases were confirmed from other inhabited islands. 

Meanwhile, 15 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 13,026. There are a total of 36 patients in the hospital.

HPA specified that 2,183 samples were collected for the virus in the last 24 hours. Health officials have so far collected 301,481 samples for the virus.

48 COVID-19 patients have died from complications.
