Haathif as chief judge of High Court, Shakeel as chief judge Criminal Court

Haathif Hilmy has been appointed chief judge of High Court, and Ahmed Shakeel has chief judge of Criminal Court.

Haathif and Hilmy were presented with their letters of appointment by JSC president Hisaan Hussain in a ceremony at the JSC headquarters on Thursday.

Haathif has a Bachelor of Law from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom, and has 11 years of experience as a Civil Court judge, and 10 months of experience as a High Court judge.

Meanwhile, Shakeel has a Bachelor of Sharia and Master of Sharia from Villa College, and previously served at the Family Court, Juvenile Court, and Civil Court.
