Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has commenced a marketing campaign focused on advertising the Maldives via one of the top TV channels in Russia.

MMPRC partnered with the 360° TV Channel, one of the top TV channels for Moscow and the central region of Russia. Video ads of the Maldives will be displayed during the prime time broadcasts, such as morning and evening news as well as late-night shows.

The ad which is shown with Russian narration will allow the MMPRC and the Maldives to reach more than three million people.

“Major campaigns for the Russian market are in the pipeline such as promoting the Maldives on digital platforms. In addition to this, we will be closely working with top travel agents and tour operators in the coming months to promote the Maldives and to boost arrivals from  Russia. The market is expected to bounce back compared to other markets and move towards a gradual growth.” said MMPRC Managing Director Thoyyib Mohamed.

Russia has been a strong market of tourist arrivals to the Maldives for quite some time now. It was the fourth biggest source of arrivals to the Maldives at the beginning of 2020 before the lockdown.
