SG of Parliament in isolation after contact with COVID-19 case

The Secretary-General of the Parliament Fathimath Niusha and two other employees of the legislative body have been placed in isolation following contact with COVID-19 cases.

In today's parliamentary sitting, Speaker Mohamed Nasheed informed the isolation of the Secretary-General and the two employees. Other than them, two MPs were also in isolation according to Nasheed.

"Those in isolation, North Maafannu MP Imthiyaz Fahmy and Feydhoo MP Mohamed Nihaadh, as well as the Secretary-General who is also in isolation," said Nasheed.

They were placed in isolation after contact with a positive case of COVID-19. Previous cases of parliament employees testing positive has also been reported,
