COVID-19: Maldives records tenth death

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has just announced that a tenth person has passed away due to COVID-19 in the Maldives.

In a tweet, HPA announced that a 92-year-old Maldivian male admitted at the DH11 facility of Dharumavantha Hospital had passed away. The time of death was recorded as 23:54.

This is the tenth death related to COVID-19 in the Maldives. Including the individual that passed away tonight, five elderly locals have passed away due to the virus. Four Bangladeshi nationals, as well as an individual from the Philipines, have passed away due to the virus.

21 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed tonight, increasing confirmed total cases in the Maldives to 2,382. The Maldives currently has 414 active cases under treatment. Total recoveries in the country is currently recorded as 1,954.
