Education Ministry will be releasing certificates for A’ Level students who completed the examinations in October/November last year if the certificate is required urgently.
The Ministry will be doing so starting from Monday and said that the certificates had been obtained by the Ministry for a short period of time. They have now been forwarded to A’ level centers.
“Right now, certificates are being sent to some centers in Male’. If it is required urgently, for instance, to apply for a course overseas, the certificate will be released starting from Monday. However, certificates in other instances will not be released for now.” Said an official from the Education Ministry who added that certificates will be issued to other islands as soon as travel arrangements in the country return to normal.
Difficulties have been faced in obtaining certificates for O’level and A’level from the UK due to the disruptions to international travel in light of COVID-19. O’level certificates are expected to be transported to the Maldives next week. For now, the Ministry requests transcripts of results to be used.
