Teleclasses to be recommenced tomorrow

Education Ministry has announced that the teleclasses which were suspended due to the COVID-19 situation in the Maldives is set to be recommenced in the tomorrow.

Teleclasses in the schools of the country were suspended on April 15 after the capital city of Male’ identified its first case of the virus.

Ministry stated that the teleclasses were suspended due to the challenges posed at the time. Teleclasses were conducted with teachers attending studios. The schedule for the classes has now been uploaded.

Yes TV will be broadcasting English classes of Grades 7,8 and Biology classes of Grade 9, 12. Islam classes for Grade 10, 11, and Math for Grade 5 and Quran classes for Grade 3.

Dhivehi channel will also be broadcasting Foundation level classes for Dhivehi as well.

Schools in the country have been closed for nearly two months. O’ Level and A’ Level examinations scheduled for this year have been pushed back to June next year.
