A Maldivian cargo flight landed at the Velana International Airport last night carrying more than 11 tons of cargo from Bangkok, Thailand.
PR and Marketing Manager of Maldivian, Moosa Waseem stated to “Sun” that the flight was mostly carrying perishable goods.
The national carrier is conducting cargo flights to other nations due to the difficulties faced in the import of goods into the country amid the global pandemic situation. Maldivian will be conducting such flights to Dubai, Colombo, Chennai and Trivandrum as well.
