Local in contact with positive virus case was in Hulhumale'

A local man who was in direct contact with a positive case of the Covid-19 in the resort of Anantara Dhigu was located in the suburb of Hulhumale’, according to the government.

A couple had tested positive for the virus in Anantara Dhigu and authorities are now working to test to a local man who was in direct contact with them.

In a news conference last night, government spokesperson Mabrook Azeez stated that the man was being moved to the designated center in Farukolhufushi at the time and was last located in Hulhumale’.

Journalists of “Sun” enquired from Mabrook regarding the time of arrival and duration of stay of the local in Hulhumale’, and Mabrook replied that symptoms were only identified yesterday and authorities were working on the details.

In total, 13 cases of the Covid-19 virus have been tested positive in the Maldives.
