Summer Island Resort has been reopened after being placed on lockdown following a suspected case of the Covid-19 disease.
The island was reopened after the test results of the suspected cases came back as negative, according to HPA.
A total of seven people were tested for the disease after two Italian tourists in the resort exhibited symptoms of the virus. Employees in contact with the tourists were also placed in isolation.
The test results for all seven people came back as negative and HPA stated that the resort was now reopened.
However, the Sandies Bathala Resort and Kuredu Island resort are still in lockdown. The first two cases of the disease in the country were identified and announced by the authorities, from Kuredu Island Resort.
