A duty-free shop for the sale and display of Maldivian made crafts and items has been opened in Velana International Airport.
The shop was inaugurated by Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail and Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer and is named as “Authentic Maldives”.

The work of the shop was initiated by Business Center Corporation and will display genuine Maldivian products for those visiting the Maldives.
The opportunity for Maldivian businesses to display products at the duty-free of the airport was opened in August 2019.
