President Solih to spend New Year’s holidays in Sri Lanka

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to spend the upcoming New Year’s holidays in neighboring Sri Lanka.

President’s Spokesperson Ibrahim Hood told Sun the President will leave for Sri Lanka on Tuesday, December 31.

He confirmed the President is not travelling to Sri Lanka on an official visit, but for vacation.

Several members of President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed’s family reside in Sri Lanka.

The President will stay in Sri Lanka until Saturday, January 4.
