Shihab named as Presidential advisor, Mahir as Home Ministry State Minister

Former Mayor of Male’ city Mohamed Shihab has been announced as an advisor to the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Shihab from M. Bageechaa also represented Male’ city in the Parliament and studied at the James Cook University in Australia.

Mohamed Mahir Easa from Hiyaavahi, Lh. Hinnavaru was appointed as the State Minister of the Home Ministry. Mahir joins Hassan Shujau and Ali Nazeer who are also State Minister at the Ministry. Mahir had previously served as the deputy to the Home Minister as well as the Lh. Atoll Councillor.
