Police: 58 accidents, 11 injured last week

Police Traffic Management Statistics reported for last week has shown that a total of 58 accidents occurred in the capital Male’ city.

11 people were injured from these accidents with the licenses of nine individuals being withheld. The statistics also showed that 759 parking violations were issued stickers with 144 vehicles being towed.

A total of 1160 vehicles were stopped and searched by Police last week with 130 cases of driving without a license noted from these searches. 95 Vehicle documentation issues were also noted by Police. 14 cases of over speeding and 18 cases of driving while on the phone was also noted in the statistics issued for last week by the Police.
