BML holds swimming program for children with disabilities

Bank of Maldives (BML) has commenced a swimming program children which disabilities.

The program is to provide these children with opportunities of learning necessary life skills and to increase their part in the community. The program is named "Fethun Tharin" and around 30 children are set to take part in the program.

The program will be held by BML jointly with the Swimming Association of the Maldives, Special Olympics Maldives, and Maldives Paralympic Committee. BML CEO Mohamed Shareef stated that providing equal opportunities to disabled children and teaching them new skills was something that brought happiness to the bank. He also noted that the program had gained a lot of support.

"We want to note the support we received for the "Fethun Tharin" program. We hope that the program with the assistance of the Swimming Association coaches will teach a lot of children how to swim and increase their interest in swimming as well." said Shareef.

BML is also providing financial assistance for the associations and equipment for disabled children.
