Three new resorts open up in the Maldives

Three new resorts have opened up in the Maldives, coinciding with the peak season of the tourism industry.

The three new editions into the Maldivian tourism industry are the two opened in Emboodhoo Falhu and a resort in Raa Atoll. The two resorts in Emboodhoo Falhu are Hard Rock Hotel and Saii Lagoon Maldives by Hilton under the Crossroads project. The resort in Raa Atoll is the Intercontinental Maamunagau Maldives Resort.

Designed by Bill Bensley, the Saii Lagoon Maldives by Hilton is part of the world-renowned chain's Curio Collection and will comprise of 198 villas with five F&B outlets.

The neighboring Hard Rock Hotel Maldives will have the famous Hard Rock Cafe and other facilities of the Hard Rock brand. 

The two resorts are just 15 minutes away from the Velana International Airport and the Hard Rock Hotel is designed to accommodate destination weddings as well. The Hard Rock Hotel will come with it's very own Kid's Club among other facilities and activities.

Intercontinental Maamunagau Maldives Resort in Raa Atoll.

Intercontinental Maamunagau Maldives Resort in Raa Atoll is made up of 81 villas. 

The Maldives welcomed its one-millionth tourist at the beginning of August and current predictions show that the country will easily reach its targetted goal of 1.5 million customers before the end of the year. While the Maldives welcomed numerous resorts this year, the total number of resorts in the country has risen to 144.
